Privacy Policy

SparkFlow is built around a simple promise: your voice stays on your machine. This policy explains what the app does — and does not — send anywhere. We publish it in the belief that privacy claims should be verifiable, not just asserted.

What the App does locally

Speech recognition runs entirely on your device using models you download (Whisper-family and Parakeet models). Your microphone audio is processed locally and is never uploaded to us or to any third party. The app works with your network disconnected — that is the simplest way to verify it yourself. Recordings are deleted after transcription (you can configure retention to your preference, including "delete immediately").

What the App sends — the complete list

The app makes exactly three kinds of network requests, all optional or minimal:

1. License validation. When you enter a license key, the app contacts our license server to verify the key. This includes the key itself and the associated email, and nothing else — no audio, no dictation.
2. Update checks. The app checks a public manifest file to learn about new versions. No personal data is transmitted.
3. AI post-processing — only if you opt in and configure it. If you enable the optional AI cleanup feature and provide your own API key for a provider (e.g., OpenAI), the dictated text — never audio — is sent to that provider to be cleaned and formatted, under that provider's own privacy policy. If you do not configure a provider, nothing is sent.

What we never collect

No audio recordings. No telemetry or usage analytics. No advertising identifiers. This website sets no cookies and runs no tracking scripts.

Purchases

Payments are processed by Stripe, whose privacy policy applies to payment data. We receive your email address and subscription status, which we use solely to deliver and renew your license key. License delivery emails are sent through Resend. We do not sell or share your information.

Data retention and your rights

We retain the minimum records needed to operate licensing: your email and subscription state. Email us and we will tell you what we hold, correct it, or delete your account records. Deleting your records ends subscription-based license renewals.

Changes to this policy

Material changes will be announced on this page and by email where reasonable.
